Anyone, regardless of age, income, gender, race, ethnic background.
How much does it cost?
No money. Hancock Saves benefits are free to the individual. Our generous
partners support Hancock Saves to make sure all individuals in Hancock County
can receive the benefits of Hancock Saves. Your only requirement is to make a
commitment to your own financial stability.
Does a person have to live in Hancock County to be a Hancock Saver?
No. Hancock Saves is based here but anyone from anywhere can be a part of it.
Why should I become a Hancock Saver?
Hancock Savers enjoy a wealth of benefits for being a part of the program. All
Savers get to work one-on-one with a trained financial consultant called a Wealth
Coach, receive a quarterly informational newsletter and special incentives and
announcements about Hancock Saves events. Hancock Savers typically experience
increased peace of mind as well due to less need to worry about money.
How much does a Hancock Saver need to start?
Even a quarter is savings. There are no minimum requirements to get the benefits of
Hancock Saves. You only need to make a commitment to saving and/or reducing debt.
Do I need a special savings account to be a Hancock Saver?
No. You can save wherever you like, as long as you do it. Hancock Saves partner
financial institutions offer special low and no-cost savings accounts to help you
start small but you do not need to use them to be a Hancock Saver.
Who controls a Hancock Saver’s money?
The individual Hancock Saver controls his or her money. Hancock Saves is here
to advise and support only.
